The City of Granby allows the felling of trees under the following conditions:
The tree is dead or damaged by fire
The tree is an ash tree
The tree is affected by a disease or infected by an insect.
The tree is dangerous to the safety of people or damage to property
The tree is harmful to the growth of other nearby trees.
The tree makes it impossible to carry out work authorized by the City or the Provincial or Federal Governments or their agents

Permit for tree cutting
To obtain a tree cutting permit, the owner must apply for a tree cutting permit from the Permits and Inspections Division of the Planning and Land Management Department at 450-776-8260 or by email at spgt@granby.ca. The application for tree removal is free of charge.
Tree Planting Grant
The City of Granby offers grants for tree planting. She has made available a brochure with all the details of the tree grant.
